Open Practice

Monday and Wednesdays 6:30 am - 9:00 am
Free/Donation Based. Suggested $5-$10 for the space and/or $5-$10 for the facilitator.

The Yoga Open Practice is at Common Ground Healing Arts.

Here, practitioners are able to workshop, memorize and practice yoga asana and other healing techniques as a method of meditation, healing and self-inquiry. The purpose is to encourage practitioners to develop a daily healing/asana practice that they can also engage in at home, without dependence on a led class, and to have a shared community space for silent, meditative practice.

Sequences and guidance that I provide will be based upon concepts, series and techniques from Science of Self/Meridian Yoga and Progressive Ashtanga. There is no led class.

The space is not limited to asana. It can include meditation, pranayama, self-massage, acupressure, cupping, and silent chanting. Learning about and making use of meridians and acupressure points is encouraged.

It is free/donation based. There are two separate donations. Donations can be made to Common Ground for the space, and donations can also be made to me for yoga instruction and facilitation (or to a guest facilitator).

The open practice will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30-9:00 AM. You can arrive at anytime as long as you are able to finish your practice by 9 AM.


It is encouraged to also make use of the complimentary healing modalities at Common Ground: acupuncture, massage and the Dance Co-Op.
